The senior executive vice president of the Royal Dutch DSM Group and Jiang Weiming, president of DSM China attended the meeting and gave a speech. Jiang Weiming said in his speech that the megatrend is actually a prerequisite for guiding any company to make the next plan, and the chemical industry is facing a big change.

Jiang Weiming summarized the three major changes facing the industry: “The first change in climate and energy, the climate has just talked about, the changes are getting bigger and bigger, and energy is transformed from traditional fossil energy and new energy, everyone is Discussion on how to switch, or when to switch, there is still a question of globalization, the issue of globalization is not a company now if you want to do a good job of corporate responsibility, develop the economy, survive in a small country, global cooperation is a trend The cross-connection of population is a trend. Through the IT industry now, I participated in the Internet conference in Wuzhen two days ago. This kind of online exchange has almost prompted all the real economy to think about the technical challenges, so to me the chemical industry In fact, there are a lot of people who need to carefully study how they should develop. I see more opportunities, not difficulties."

The following are the full texts of the global executive vice president of the Royal Dutch DSM Group and the president of DSM China Jiang Weiming:

Dear Mr. Cheng, thank you all for your time. I will try to be simpler this morning. First of all, I am particularly pleased to have the opportunity to share a basic topic with the international community and how to do global cooperation. However, I feel that I would like to share with you more about how we see challenges and opportunities as a traditional and typical multinational company.

First of all, I think that everyone should pay attention to the big trend. The megatrend is actually a prerequisite for guiding any company to do a good job in the next step. I personally feel that the chemical industry is actually facing a big change, and this change seems to bring a lot of chemical companies A lot of troubles, talks about discoloration, are also issues that our media often talk about. However, chemical products have played a very large role in human development. There are several major trends. I personally think it is very important.

The first change in climate and energy, the climate has just talked about, the change is getting bigger and bigger, and energy is changing from the traditional fossil energy and new energy. Everyone is discussing how to turn or when. There is also a question of globalization. There is no question of globalization. If there is not a company that wants to do a good job of corporate responsibility, develop its economy, survive in a small country, global cooperation is a trend, and the cross-connection of population is a trend. Through the current IT industry, I participated in the Internet conference in Wuzhen two days ago. This kind of online exchange has almost prompted all the real economy to think about technical challenges. So for me, the chemical industry actually has a lot to seriously consider Should be developed, what I see is more opportunities, not dilemmas. These opportunities are how we find chemical products applications on new terminals. It is very valuable. Whether it is electric vehicles or food industry, there are many places. In the chemical industry, we can do well to develop a better life.

I share this picture with everyone in the chemical industry for more than 100 years. We all know that Minister Li is our old chemical industry. Basically, I think there are four stages for your reference. The traditional first stage is coal chemical industry. We all know that digging coal to make coal into chemical industry is a very traditional and very powerful industry. With the development of petrochemical companies in the second generation, with the transformation of oil into a major energy source, many petrochemical downstream products have been developed. In the third stage, I think it's very important for everyone to realize that any chemical company is specializing in how to do globalization. Almost everyone has to discuss the issue. Many companies merge and separate because of this problem. How do you find yourself? The point of departure. But I think the fourth change, that is, the current change is very important, this change is how we do a good job of circular economy, how to use digital to ponder the development of our industry, this topic in many discussions I have expressed my opinion I am particularly willing to communicate with my friends who are determined to be friends in the chemical industry. I personally feel that it is worth exploring.

After finishing these two big images, the simple talk of this company once used to be a very traditional chemical company. We have used the transformation in the past 20 or 30 years. In fact, it is an idea to seize market trends and invest heavily in research and development. Just now, Vice President of Huawei made it very clear that I also appreciated very much. Only by taking R&D as a real motivator for my transformation, everything can be done. We have done so many things in our own country, including all over the world. It is the constant need to ponder the market. How to innovate with our customers is precisely because DSM is ranked second in the Fortune 100 this year by the traditional coal chemical industry, which is the second most representative historical future. I'm particularly happy because traditional chemical companies don't generally have such a status, so I'm happy to share with them that chemical companies can do very well and can do very sustainable.

I would like to share with you at last. We want to share with you because we have some friends from the United Nations who have shared some things that the United Nations can develop. There are a total of 17 items. It looks very imaginary, very high, and very far away. These 17 goals are our company's regular discussions on how to turn it into a plan of action. Because anything is empty, this thing is not dynamic. These 17 goals are also our Chinese government's serious commitment to promote through the Paris Agreement. What DSM wants to do, the first one we focus on is how to exactly meet two of them, that is, how to provide a healthy formula for human food, think about our food, and the food brought by our urbanization. The security and the concerns of everyone are almost unavoidable social issues. My goal is very simple. First, reduce cardiovascular disease and try to reduce everyone. This is the first killer, and everyone knows.

The second salt-reducing and sugar-reducing task is very important for these two kinds of things, whether it is for Chinese people or other people's breeds and cities. It is important to do these tasks in reducing sugar and salt.

The third pair of maternal and child care is very important. The nutritional load of the special children from the age of 0 to 5 is the most important. Together with the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, we will visit all the impoverished mountain areas to ensure that the mothers and children get the most from 0 to 5 years old. Good care, best training, because of their vital role in the development of their entire IQ and life.

The second thing we want to do is very simple. It is to focus on doing a good job of renewable energy. I believe that renewable energy, just as UN officials said, China is 40%, 50%, 70%, very good. Generally speaking, our country needs a lot of fossil energy. However, there is no future for renewable energy, and there is definitely a future. China can play a leading role in biomass energy, light energy, wind energy, nuclear energy, and many things can be studied. Here our company is committed to doing development together with all companies. Especially in bio-intelligence and light energy, I believe that we can change the structure of many energy sources, change our travels, and change and reduce our emissions. All these have many meanings.

The third goal is very simple. We have a lot of production bases. In the past, there was a concept of linear development. When raw materials were processed, there was bound to be waste and waste to be disposed of. This idea is wrong, in fact, the entire resources can be recycled and can be used. I think that many countries around the world, including China, are piloting how to make a big round of development. Development zones can do this. Cities can do this. We can do what we want to do. All our production companies require that all possible changes be made to the big loop. 100% cycle, but what I've released to us can be reused. This can definitely be done.

These three things have been done well, that is, great support for the UN's sustainable development goals and a very important contribution to our country's efforts to create a beautiful China. Just share with everyone and thank you for your attention.
